Serving Westwood Lakes & Surrounding Communities
Crowded teeth, small gaps, and a bite that never quite lined up are easy to live with until the day you decide you want something different. Many adults assume they missed their chance for a straighter smile, but modern options have made that belief outdated. Clear aligners, thoughtful planning, and a patient dental team can give you more choices than you may expect.
At Designing Smiles, our team provides cosmetic dentistry for Westwood Lakes patients, including Invisalign clear aligners and other ways to improve how your smile looks and feels. Dr. Ryan Rose and Dr. Angela Hilton-Foley help you compare your options, so you can choose a plan that fits your schedule, your budget, and your goals.
You are far from alone if you are considering treatment later in life. The American Association of Orthodontists reports one in three orthodontic patients today is an adult, and many of them choose clear aligners or braces to improve their smiles at any age. Straighter teeth may also make daily brushing and flossing simpler, which is a welcome bonus alongside the cosmetic gains.
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to move teeth step by step. Because the aligners can be taken out, eating, brushing, and flossing may feel simpler than they would with fixed braces. We review your teeth and bite, explain whether Invisalign looks like a good fit, and walk you through what treatment may involve. If another approach suits you better, we will tell you. Some patients decide aligners are not for them, and that is a perfectly good choice.
Alignment is often the first step, and many patients finish with a few small refinements. Once your teeth are moving in the right direction, we may suggest adding one of these treatments:
We talk through timing and order at your consultation, which helps you avoid surprises along the way. If you only want straighter teeth, that is perfectly fine too, and we will keep your plan simple. Our aim is a smile you feel good about, with no more treatment than you want.
Your visit begins with a conversation about what you want to change and why now feels like the right time. We examine your teeth and gums, review your health history, and take digital X-rays when needed. Healthy gums and teeth matter before any alignment begins, and early attention to small issues can make treatment smoother, so we address concerns like cavities first. This step protects your investment and gives your new smile a solid base.
After the exam, we explain the treatments that may fit your goals, how long each may take, and what you will be asked to do at home. Clear aligners work best when worn as directed, so we are honest about the commitment and the daily habits involved before you decide to begin. Our team checks in along the way and adjusts the plan if your goals shift. You will always know what comes next and why we recommend it, which keeps the process calm and predictable.
We also encourage you to bring your questions about cost, timing, and daily routines, because a plan you fully grasp is a plan you can follow with confidence. Our team is glad to revisit any detail, as often as you like, throughout treatment.
Designing Smiles is locally owned, and we see patients of all ages, so Westwood Lakes families can schedule cosmetic care, dental cleanings, and routine exams in the same place. Keeping your records with one team means your providers can follow how your smile changes over the years, which helps us spot shifting teeth, worn edges, or new needs before they become bigger concerns.
Some patients feel tense before dental visits, and we want you to feel comfortable. Oral and nitrous sedation dentistry is available, and our team explains each step and answers your questions as we go. Parents can also ask about family dentistry so everyone in the household receives consistent care. A single office for your whole family can save you time, especially when schedules are full.
