Arestin Antibiotic

Arestin and Atridox are minocycline antibiotics that are locally applied in periodontal pockets to help reduce periodontitis, infection under the gums.   After the hygienist scales above and below the gumline to remove tartar, plaque, and bacterial toxins, the antibiotic is applied.  With Arestin and Atridox, the antibiotic stays in place for 14 days, delivering the minocycine topical antibiotic slowly over time. Arestin works to improve the outcome of scaling and root planing.  For more information, click on the Arestin button to go directly to their website.
